Oil Pressure Warning Light

1989 Subaru GL-10 4D Sedan, 1.8 4SECTION Oil Pressure Warning Light

Light comes on with the ignition switch in the ON position as a bulb check, but should go out shortly after engine is started. Light indicates low oil pressure, but does not indicate amount of oil in engine. If light remains on or comes on while driving, stop vehicle, turn off engine and check oil level. If oil level is sufficient, there may be a fault in the lubricating system. Have the system checked and serviced immediately to locate and correct cause. Do not operate vehicle until problem has been corrected.
