Federal 4WD & Fuel Injected Turbo Models
These vehicle are equipped with a single diaphragm advance unit. Vacuum pressure produced in the advance port is applied to the advance control unit in relation to opening angle of the throttle valve in order to provide an advance angle. See Fig 1 .

When to See a Mechanic
Stop DIY work and contact a certified mechanic immediately if any of the following apply:

- • Brakes feel soft, pull hard to one side, or make grinding noises.
- • The engine overheats, stalls repeatedly, or misfires under load.
