High-Altitude Kit
When principally operating the vehicle at altitudes above 4000 feet (1200 m), the emission control system requires minor modification to meet the emission control standards at high-altitude.
When a vehicle modified to high-altitude specifications is principally used at altitudes below 4000 feet (1200 m), the emission control system must be remodified to the original specifications.

When to See a Mechanic
Stop DIY work and contact a certified mechanic immediately if any of the following apply:
- • You smell fuel, burning insulation, or see smoke.
- • Brakes feel soft, pull hard to one side, or make grinding noises.
- • The engine overheats, stalls repeatedly, or misfires under load.
- • You are missing required tools, torque specs, or safe lifting equipment.
