- Check cap and rotor for cracks or other damage. Ensure that carbon brush on cap protrudes at least .087" (2.2 mm). Check air gap. Turn rotor counterclockwise and make sure it returns to original position.
- Apply 12 in. Hg to vacuum diaphragm. Check that diaphragm rod moves. Ensure that diaphragm does not leak. Release vacuum and make sure rod returns to original position.
