Transmission Control Cable Assembly: Installation
2007 Scion tC Base, AutomaticSECTION Installation
- INSTALL TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY
- Put the cable into the body.
- Install the No. 2 shift cable grommet retainer to the floor shift cable.
- Install the floor shift cable as shown in the illustration.
HINT:
Securely engage the claws.
- Install the No. 2 shift cable grommet retainer with the 2 bolts.
Torque: 5.0 N*m (51 kgf*cm, 44 in.*lbf)
- CONNECT TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY
- Connect the cable to the control cable clamp.
- Connect the cable to the bracket with the clip.
- Temporarily install the cable to the control shaft lever with the nut.
- INSTALL AIR CONDITIONING RADIATOR ASSEMBLY (See INSTALLATION )
- INSTALL EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY
- Install exhaust pipe (see INSTALLATION ).
- CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
- PERFORM INITIALIZATION
- Perform initialization (see
INITIALIZATION
).NOTE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

- INSPECT SHIFT LEVER POSITION (See ADJUSTMENT )
