Installation Procedure

2009 Saturn Astra XR, 4D Hatchback, AutomaticSECTION Installation Procedure

Install the electric window regulator.
- Install the window regulator.
- Connect the wiring harness plug.
Install the electric window winder.
Rivet on 6 rivets.
Install the window.
- Position the window half way up.
- Slide the window in the lower guide.

CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .

Install the front door rear window channel.
Tighten: Tighten the top bolt to 2.5 N.m (22 lb in).
Install the rear lower window channel.
Tighten: Tighten the bolt to 7 N.m (62 lb in).
Install the outer shaft strip.
Install the inner channel strip.

NOTE: Damaged water vapor barrier must be replaced.

Install the water vapor barrier.
- Apply the adhesive tape to door frame according to the shaded areas shown.
- Cut the foil to size.
- Install the water vapor barrier without creases.
Install the rear side door trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
Close the window.
