Remove the front side door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement (Coupe) or Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement (Sedan) .

Remove the lock knob control rod (3).
Release from the retainer (4).
Remove the locking knob (1).
Release the retaining clip (2) with a suitable tool.
