Removal Procedure

- Remove the shift control assembly. Refer to Automatic Transmission Control Replacement in Automatic Transaxle - 4T40-E/4T45-E.
- Remove the shift indicator bulb from the shift control assembly.
- Remove the shift solenoid retaining screw.
- Disconnect the shift solenoid assembly wiring retainers from the shift control assembly.
- Remove the shift solenoid assembly from the shift control assembly.
