  1. Place the key in the ignition.
  2. Open the driver door.
Does the chime sound?

3 Do the courtesy lamps illuminate when the driver door is opened? Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems Go to Courtesy Lamps Inoperative in Lighting Systems

  1. Connect a scan tool.
  2. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
  3. With the scan tool, command the chime ON.
Does the chime sound?
Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems Go to Step 5Β 
5 Replace the body control module (BCM). Refer to Control Module References in Computer/Integrating Systems for replacement, setup, and programming.
Did you complete the replacement?
Go to Step 6Β  -
6 Operate the system in order to verify the repair.
Did you correct the condition?
