  1. Turn the ignition ON.
  2. Open and close the RR sliding door.
Does the instrument panel cluster (IPC) door ajar message operate normally?

  1. Disconnect the mobility seat module connector C1.
  2. Using a test lamp connected to a good ground test both of the battery voltage supply circuit terminals in the harness connector.

Does the test lamp illuminate on both circuits?
Go to Step 5  Go to Step 7 
5 Using a test lamp connected to battery voltage test both of the ground circuit terminals in the harness connector C1.
Does the test lamp illuminate on both circuits?
Go to Step 6  Go to Step 8

  1. Open the RR sliding door.
  2. Disconnect the mobility seat module connector C2.
  3. Using a test lamp connected to battery voltage test the door jamb switch circuit terminal in the harness connector C2.
Does the test lamp illuminate?
Go to Step 10  Go to Step 9 
7 Repair the battery voltage supply circuit to the mobility seat module for an open or short to ground. Refer to Circuit Testing andWiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
Is the repair complete?
Go to Step 12  -
8 Repair the mobility seat module ground circuit for an open or high resistance. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
Is the repair complete?
Go to Step 12  -
9 Repair the RR sliding door jamb switch circuit to the mobility seat module for an open or high resistance. Refer to Circuit Testing andWiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
Is the repair complete?
Go to Step 12  -
10 Inspect for poor connections at the mobility seat module harness connectors. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.
Did you find and correct the condition?
Go to Step 12  Go to Step 11 
11 Replace the mobility seat module. Refer to Mobility Seat Control Module Replacement - Sit-N-Lift .
Is the repair complete?
Go to Step 12  -
12 Operate the system in order to verify the repair.
Did you correct the condition?
