- Remove the left front wheel. Refer to TIRE AND WHEEL REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION in Tires and Wheels.
- Remove the variable drive cover bolts.
- Remove the variable drive cover from the transmission.
- Remove the outer variable drive cover seal from the transmission and discard.
- Remove the variable drive cover seal and discard.
- Inspect the variable drive cover and cover seal for damage and replace as necessary.
