Removal Procedure

2003 Saturn Ion 3 4D Sedan, StandardSECTION Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the left front wheel. Refer to TIRE AND WHEEL REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION in Tires and Wheels.
  2. Remove the variable drive cover bolts.
  3. Remove the variable drive cover from the transmission.
  4. Remove the outer variable drive cover seal from the transmission and discard.
  5. Remove the variable drive cover seal and discard.

  6. Inspect the variable drive cover and cover seal for damage and replace as necessary.
