Disabling System (Prizm)
2000 Saturn SW2 AutomaticSECTION Disabling System (Prizm)
- Before proceeding, follow SRS service precautions. See SERVICE PRECAUTIONSΒ . Turn front wheels to straight-ahead position. Remove ignition key.
- Remove IGN and CIG fuses from instrument panel fuse block. Fuse block is located on lower left side of instrument panel, behind cover. Fuses are identified by a label inside cover. Wait at least 2 MINUTES.
- Remove lower steering column trim cover. Release lock tab, and disconnect driver air bag module Yellow 2-pin SIR connector. See Figure. Remove glove box. Release lock tab, and disconnect passenger air bag module Yellow 2-pin connector. See Figure.
- Release lock mechanism, and disconnect driver side air bag module Yellow 2-pin SIR connector. Connector is under seat. Repeat procedure for passenger side air bag.
