Air Cleaner Housing And Duct Assembly - DOHC (Ll0): Removal

2000 Saturn SL2 Automatic, MP6SECTION Removal
  1. Open clamp at throttle body.
  2. Disconnect fresh air hose at air duct. Remove air cleaner housing cover and air duct.
    NOTE: Removing this assembly provides access to the EGR valve, coolant sensors, fuel rail, fuel line, fuel system Schrader(R) valve, upper starter bolt, canister purge solenoid, ignition module, and PRNDL switch.
  3. Disconnect electrical connector at the Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor.
  4. Remove plastic fastener at top of resonator and remove resonator.
  5. Remove the three air box fasteners and remove assembly.
  6. Inspect assembly for cracks or damage. A damaged assembly can cause noise. Replace if cracked or damaged. The air box has a hole in the bottom for water drainage. The hole must be free of debris
