Air Cleaner Housing And Duct Assembly - DOHC (Ll0): Removal
2000 Saturn SL2 Automatic, MP6SECTION Removal
- Open clamp at throttle body.
- Disconnect fresh air hose at air duct. Remove air cleaner housing cover and air duct.NOTE: Removing this assembly provides access to the EGR valve, coolant sensors, fuel rail, fuel line, fuel system Schrader(R) valve, upper starter bolt, canister purge solenoid, ignition module, and PRNDL switch.
- Disconnect electrical connector at the Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor.
- Remove plastic fastener at top of resonator and remove resonator.
- Remove the three air box fasteners and remove assembly.
- Inspect assembly for cracks or damage. A damaged assembly can cause noise. Replace if cracked or damaged. The air box has a hole in the bottom for water drainage. The hole must be free of debris
