Cruise Control Module: Service and Repair

REMOVAL

1. Ignition Off.
2. Remove connector position assurance (CPA) retainer and disconnect cruise control module harness connector.
3. Disconnect cruise control rod bracket from accelerator pedal by squeezing tabs.
4. Remove nuts attaching cruise control module to steering column and remove cruise control module.
INSTALLATION

1. Install cruise control module to steering column bracket using three nuts.
Torque: 6 N.m (53 in-lbs)
2. Connect cruise control rod bracket to accelerator cable.
CAUTION: ADJUST CRUSE CONTROL CABLE EACH TIME CRUSE CONTROL MODULE IS REMOVED OR REPLACED. THROTTLE OPERATION COULD BE AFFECTED. REFER TO "CRUISE CONTROL MODULE ROD ADJUSTMENT" PROCEDURE.
3. Adjust cruise cable adjuster. Refer to "Cruise Control Module Rod Adjustment". Adjustments
