2000 Saturn SL1 AutomaticSECTION Diagnostic Procedure
- Connect scan tool. Turn ignition on, engine off. Using scan tool, command door unlock relay on while watching feedback. If door unlock relay feedback is low, go to next step. If door lock relay feedback is not low, problem is intermittent. See DIAGNOSTIC AIDSΒ .
- Disconnect door unlock relay. Using grounded test light, backprobe BCM Purple connector terminal A3 (White wire). See Fig 1 . Using scan tool, command door unlock relay on. If test light is on, replace door unlock relay. If test light is off, go to next step.
- Check White wire from BCM for short to ground. If problem was found, repair as necessary. If problem was not found, replace BCM. See appropriate BODY CONTROL MODULES article.
