Disabling System (Century, Grand Prix, Intrigue & Regal)
2000 Saturn SLSECTION Disabling System (Century, Grand Prix, Intrigue & Regal)
- Before proceeding, follow air bag service precautions. See SERVICE PRECAUTIONSΒ . Turn front wheels to straight-ahead position. Turn ignition switch to OFF position and remove key.
- Remove fuse block access door on far right end of instrument panel. Remove AIR BAG fuse. Wait 10 minutes. Remove sound insulator panel from under lower left side of instrument panel. Remove Connector Position Assurance (CPA) clip, and disconnect driver 2-pin Yellow SIR connector at base of steering column. See Fig 1.
- Remove Connector Position Assurance (CPA) clip, and disconnect passenger 2-pin Yellow SIR connector. Connector is located to right of steering column. See Fig 2.
- On Century and Regal only, move driver's seat as far back as possible. Remove CPA clip and disconnect the driver side air bag 2-pin Yellow SIR connector, if equipped. Connector is located under driver's seat.
