Front Fender Replacement

Removal Procedure





1. Remove the front wheelhouse outer panel fasteners.




2. Remove the plastic fasteners along the top and the bottom of the rocker panel molding.
3. Remove the plastic fasteners, the rear wheelhouse liner to the rocker panel molding.
4. Remove the plastic fasteners, the front wheelhouse liner to the rocker panel molding.
5. Rotate the rocker panel molding out and down to remove.
6. Remove the bottom rear fender bolts.




7. Remove the side marker lamp housing by pulling the leading edge forward and straight out.
8. Rotate the side marker lamp bulb socket counter clockwise 1/4 turn. Pull the socket rearward until the bulb clears the side marker lamp housing.
9. Remove the fender reinforcement bolt behind the marker lamp.




10. Remove the front fascia lower front plastic retainters.
11. Remove the front fascia upper front plastic retainers.
12. Slide the front fascia forward.
13. Remove the front fascia assembly.
14. Remove the fascia shoulder bolts from the fender bracket.




15. Remove the fender to the front body hinge pillar bolt.
16. Remove the bolts from the fender flange to the upper motor compartment rail.
17. Remove the fender.



Installation Procedure





1. Position the fender on the motor compartment side rail.
2. Align the fender to the door and the hood.




3. Install the bolts to the fender and tighten in the correct sequence as shown.

Tighten the fender bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

4. Install the fascia ends over the shoulder bolts extending down from the fascia back. Holes in the fascia are slotted for installation without removing the bolts. The front fascia lower support plate should be on the lower side of the fascia.
5. Install the plastic retainers from the front of the front wheelhouse panel and the fascia.
6. Install the front fascia upper front plastic retainers.
7. Install the front fascia lower the front plastic retainers.
8. Install the fender reinforcement bolt behind the marker lamp.
9. Connect the side marker lamp socket into the side marker lamp housing. Rotate the side marker lamp socket clockwise 1/4 turn to lock in place.
10. Insert the tab at the back of the side marker lamp housing into the fender and snap the pressure clip in the fender.
11. Position the rocker panel molding to the body.
12. Install the plastic fasteners, the front wheelhouse liner to the rocker panel molding.
13. Install the plastic fasteners, the rear wheelhouse liner to the rocker panel molding.
14. Install the remaining front wheelhouse panel outer plastic fasteners.
