- Insert a valid Master ignition key in the ignition switch. Start engine. After 10 seconds, turn ignition off and remove key.
- Within 10 seconds, insert new valid mechanical code unlearned key and turn ignition switch to RUN position. Security light will illuminate until key is learned. This may happen so quickly light is not observed. Turn ignition off and remove key 10 seconds after light goes out. To learn additional keys, repeat this step.

RIM may be referred to as BCM.
