Disabling System (Lumina)
2000 Saturn LS AutomaticSECTION Disabling System (Lumina)
- Before proceeding, follow air bag service precautions. See SERVICE PRECAUTIONSΒ . Turn front wheels to straight-ahead position. Turn ignition switch to OFF position and remove key from ignition switch.
- Remove fuse No. 21 (AIR BAG or SIR) from fuse block. Fuse block is at far right end of instrument panel. Remove the left-side sound insulator panel from under instrument panel.
- Remove Connector Position Assurance (CPA) clip and disconnect driver air bag Yellow 2-pin air bag connector at base of steering column. See Figure.
- Remove right-hand sound insulator panel from under instrument panel. Remove glove box. Remove Connector Position Assurance (CPA) clip and disconnect passenger air bag Yellow 2-pin air bag connector behind glove box. See Figure.
