Diagnostic Aids
If Code 82 is set and ABS module is not a service replacement part, ABS module should be replaced. If Code 82 is set with other codes, diagnose Code 82 first. Replacement ABS module has Code 82 stored in it and must be reprogrammed with correct ABS calibration and options. Options should be manually set.

When to See a Mechanic
Stop DIY work and contact a certified mechanic immediately if any of the following apply:

- • Brakes feel soft, pull hard to one side, or make grinding noises.
- • The engine overheats, stalls repeatedly, or misfires under load.
- • You are missing required tools, torque specs, or safe lifting equipment.
