1995 Saturn SL1 AutomaticSECTION Diagnostic Procedure
  1. Determine if information flags 79 or 96 are present. These flags must be eliminated first as a possible cause for DTC 26.
  2. Check actuator operation. See ACTUATOR QUICK CHECKΒ  under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMΒ  . Operation sound of all actuators should be similar.
  3. Other possibility for DTC 26 is TCC release circuit leaking at seal ring on input shaft or ball pressed into input shaft is loose.
