Engine Oiling System
Oil is pressurized by oil pump and routed through full flow filter to main oil gallery. Main oil gallery runs full length of cylinder block and supplies oil to crankshaft and to camshaft feed passage. Oil pressure is also fed to timing chain tensioner to aid in maintaining proper timing chain tension. See Fig 1.

When to See a Mechanic
Stop DIY work and contact a certified mechanic immediately if any of the following apply:

- • Brakes feel soft, pull hard to one side, or make grinding noises.
- • The engine overheats, stalls repeatedly, or misfires under load.
