The PCM controls the compressor clutch based on inputs to PCM and ACP. When all inputs to PCM and ACP are within acceptable values, ACP signals the PCM to engage the compressor clutch. Once the A/C clutch is engaged, minimum compressor clutch on time is determined by either of following modes.

When to See a Mechanic
