Description & Operation
The Saturn sun roof contains a sliding glass panel with a manually operated sunshade. The sun roof is operated by a two-position rocker switch located on the map light panel at the front of the headliner. The sun roof has 3 positions: OPEN, CLOSED and VENT position. When the sun roof is open, the glass panel is outside of the vehicle, above the roof panel providing more head clearance.
The rocker switch is only operational with the ignition switch in ON or ACC positions. The OPEN/VENT side of the switch has 2 positions. The CLOSE side has one position.
The components of the Saturn power sun roof are: sliding glass panel, rocker switch, sunshade, wind deflector, sun roof tray, drain tubes, microswitch, motor, drive cables, connector position assurance (CPA) and electrical wiring. See Fig 1 .
