Information Flag 15 - Hot Light On: Description
The dash mounted HOT light communicates to the driver that the engine or transaxle is overheating. If the PCM detects the transaxle temperature is over 284Β°F (140Β°C), PCM will set information flag 15 and switch the HOT light on.
1) If information flag 15 is present, check the following systems and components. Ensure vehicle is not overloaded. Check PCM for stored codes 25 and 53. If present, diagnose and repair as required.
2) Check for restricted oil cooler or cooler lines, restricted radiator airflow, inoperative radiator fan, low transaxle oil level or overheating engine.

When to See a Mechanic
