Code P080, Fuel System Rich: Notes
This test detects a rich condition caused by fuel injection system, or by evaporative emission control fuel canister that is purging continuously, causing a rich engine condition. Code can only be set during sustained steady driving, such as sustained cruise control operation. Code P080 sets when all test conditions have been met and long term fuel trim is 104 or less (rich system). System turns off canister purge in an attempt to lean out system.

When to See a Mechanic
