Check fluid at every engine oil change. Under normal conditions, replace fluid every 30,000 miles. Replace filter at 30,000 miles then every 60,000 miles.
NOTE:
On 1992 vehicles, powertrain control module maintains a "Percentage Of Oil Life Left" parameter which can be read with a scan tool. Manufacturer recommends that this parameter be reset by a Saturn dealer whenever transaxle fluid is changed.
