Code 53 - Master Enable Relay Stuck Off: Description
During normal operation, current required to hold line actuator is less than energizing current. If PCM does not detect any current flow, PCM sets code 53. If code 53 appears, check for information flags 66, 67 and 92. If codes are present, see appropriate flow chart and test for cause of code 53. If no information flags are present, replace PCM.
