Control Arm & Ball Joint: Removal
1992 Saturn SC StandardSECTION Removal
- Raise and support vehicle on hoist, with suspension hanging freely. Remove front wheel. Remove cotter pin from ball joint stud. See Figure. Loosen castle nut until top of nut is level with top of ball joint stud.
- Using Ball Joint Separator (SA9132S ), separate ball joint from steering knuckle. Remove castle nut from ball joint stud. Remove inner fender splash shield. Remove control arm-to-cradle nut and bolt. Remove tension strut-to-control arm nut and washer. Remove control arm.
