Circuit/System Testing
2010 Saab 9-5SECTION Circuit/System Testing
- Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connectors at both left and right DVD display seat headrests.
- Ignition OFF, scan tool disconnected, open driver door, wait two minutes. Test for less than 1 Ξ© between the infrared remote signal (-) circuits terminal 13 and ground.
- If greater than the specified range, test the signal (-) circuit for an open/high resistance. If the circuits test normal, replace the A11 Radio.
- Ignition ON, DVD playing, test for 1-4 V between the infrared remote signal (+) circuit terminal 12 and ground.
- If less than specified range, test the signal (+) circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the A11 Radio.
- If greater than specified range, test the signal (+) circuit for a short to voltage. If the circuit tests normal, replace the A11 Radio.
- If all circuits test normal, replace the remote control. If the remote is still inoperative, replace the DVD display seat headrest.
