Removal & Installation: Camshaft: Installation

1999 Saab 9-3 Base, 2D Hatchback, AutomaticSECTION Installation
  1. Ensure "0" mark on flywheel aligns with timing mark on flywheel cover. Install intake camshaft with bearing caps No. 1-5, and exhaust camshaft with bearing caps No. 6-10.
  2. Tighten bearing cap bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONSΒ . Rotate camshafts until they are aligned with their respective timing marks. See Fig 1. Reverse removal procedure to complete installation.
