NOTE:
This test assumes ANTI LOCK light is not on. If ANTI LOCK light is on, diagnose Anti-Lock Brake system. See appropriate article:
- ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM - 1995.
- ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM - 1996.
- Turn ignition on. Connect Saab ISAT Scan Tool (86 10 651). Select WHEEL SPEED RR command in OBTAIN READINGS menu. If wheel speed is displayed, go to next step. If wheel speed is not displayed, connect breakout box to TCS control module. Rotate right rear wheel by hand. If wheel speed of about 15 Hz is present at breakout box pin No. 8, go to next step. If wheel speed is not present, check for an open circuit in Orange/White wire between TCS control module terminal No. 8 and ABS control module terminal No. 19. Repair wiring as necessary.
- Erase DTC and test drive vehicle. If DTC reoccurs, replace TCS control module. See REPLACING TCS CONTROL MODULEΒ .
