Safety Warning
DIY auto repair can cause serious injury, fire, or vehicle damage. These guides are for informational purposes only. Always follow OEM torque specs, wear PPE, and consult a certified mechanic if you are unsure. You are solely responsible for your safety.
"Follow-Me-Home" Function
The ICE has been programmed with a function which makes it possible for the dipped beam to remain switched on for 30 seconds after the key has been removed and the driver's door closed. You activate the "Follow-me-home" function by giving the ICE information on terminal 44 that "the driver's door is open" and then information on terminal 30 that the dipswitch has been activated. When the ICE then receives information, within 30 seconds, that the driver's door is closed, the ICE grounds the relay for 30 seconds, which means that the dipped beam is on for that period of time. See Fig 1 .
