Before Replacing Control Panel Or Fan Control Module
Before replacing the control panel or fan control unit, perform the following steps before definitely deciding that component in question is at fault:
1) Ensure that all diagnostic procedures for the relevant trouble code have been carried out. If necessary, see FAULT DIAGNOSISΒ .
2) Study the wiring diagram of the circuit in question and make sure you understand how it works. See WIRING DIAGRAMΒ . If necessary, see DESCRIPTIONΒ and OPERATION.
3) Check ALL ground points. If this has already been done, do it again. Check A/C-heater control panel (control module) power supply. If fault persists, replace control module.

When to See a Mechanic
