Air Distribution Damper Stepper Motor
The air distribution damper stepper motor is located on evaporator case, behind A/C-heater control panel. Operation of the air distribution damper stepper motor is similar to that of air blend damper stepper motor. The air distribution damper, however, directs the flow of air to the various air ducts.
Floor and panel/floor air distribution settings are not used in AUTO mode. If the requisite blended air temperature is high, air distribution will be set to the defrost/floor position.
If the requisite blended air temperature is low, air distribution will be set closer to the defrost position. If requisite blended air temperatures are extremely low, air distribution will be set to the panel position.
The desired air distribution can also be selected manually on the A/C-heater control panel. Air distribution is shown by means of symbols on A/C-heater control panel display.
