Wiping During Washing: Notes
When the switch for the windscreen or the switch for the rear window is moved to the washing position, voltage is supplied to the headlamp motor (does not apply to rear window washing), to terminal 38 (windscreen) and terminal 15 (rear window) in the ICE and to the washer pump. The ICE grounds the two intermittent operation relays via terminal 59 (windscreen) and terminal 7 (rear window). The ICE grounds the relay for the windscreen directly and washing starts immediately, but for washing of the rear window the ICE grounds the relay after a certain delay. This is done because it takes a bit longer for the water to spread over the rear window. See Fig 1 .
