  1. Turn ignition off. Connect breakout box to ECU. Turn ignition on. Ensure battery voltage is present at breakout box pin No. 52. If voltage is not present, ensure bulb is okay. Check continuity of White wire between ECU terminal No. 52 and instrument cluster terminal No. 8.
  2. If White wire is okay, turn ignition off. Disconnect ECU and main ABS relay. Check diode by connecting an ohmmeter between breakout box pins No. 33 and 52, then reverse leads and check again. Depending on how ohmmeter leads are connected, either no resistance or greater than 2 ohms resistance should be present. If resistances are not to specification, diode is defective.
