Clutch "E": Reassembly

- Install new "O" ring onto piston and apply a light coating of petroleum jelly. Press assembled piston onto cylinder of engine shaft. Using press and adapter, compress 2 plate springs. Secure with split retaining ring.
- Insert clutch discs beginning with steel disc followed alternately by lined disc and steel disc. On models with 5 pairs of discs, end disc is installed with recess to outside. Secure disc sets with snap ring.
- Install 2 rectangular rings onto engine shaft and engage hook. Coat rings with petroleum jelly. Install thrust washer. Install engine shaft while turning back and forth. If installed correctly, shoulder of clutch "E" is flush with edge of disc carrier on sun gear shaft.
