Clutch "E": Disassembly

1994 Saab 9000 CS, 2.3 B, StandardSECTION Disassembly
  1. Remove thrust washer off engine shaft. Remove snap ring and lift out complete set of discs. Press down plate spring "E" and remove split retaining ring.
  2. Remove plate spring and use compressed air gun to force piston out. Rectangular rings remain on engine shaft. White plastic rings have chamfered ends. See Figure.
