Anti-Frost Thermostat
The anti-frost thermostat is fitted on top of evaporator. Its function is to prevent formation of frost or ice on evaporator cooling fins. A capillary tube is fitted between evaporator fins to monitor temperature.
If evaporator temperature falls to 34-38Β°F (.9-3.1Β°C), thermostat will break power supply to A/C compressor. Once evaporator temperature reaches 35-39Β°F (1.9-4.1Β°C), A/C compressor will again be engaged.
