Pressure Transducer

1994 Saab 9000 CD, AutomaticSECTION Pressure Transducer
  1. Remove panel underneath dashboard (driver side). Unplug electrical connector from pressure transducer. Connect vacuum pump/pressure tester and pressure gauge to pressure transducer hose.
  2. Measure resistance between transducer terminals (Black/White and Green/Red wires on mating connector). Resistance should be 8-13 ohms at atmospheric pressure.
  3. Increase pressure to about 14.5 psi (1.0 kg/cm2 ) and then let it drop to 8.7 psi (0.6 kg/cm2 ), while tapping lightly on pressure transducer bracket. Resistance should be 83-93 ohms at 8.7 psi (0.6 kg/cm2 ). If resistance is not as specified, replace pressure transducer.
