- Place input shaft in a soft-jaw vise and remove snap ring. See Figure . Press out bearing from shaft. Remove 4th gear, synchronizer ring and needle bearing.
- Lift up synchronizer sleeve slightly and remove spring loaded rolls from synchronizer hub. Remove all springs and plungers from hub.
- Remove snap ring and synchronizer hub. Remove 3rd gear synchronizer ring, 3rd gear and needle bearing.
