- Connect tachometer. Warm engine to normal operating temperature. Adjust idle speed to specification. See ADJUSTMENTS article in the ENGINE PERFORMANCE Section.
- Increase engine speed to 3000 RPM. Release throttle, noting time between release of throttle and return to idle. Deceleration time should be 3-5 seconds from contact of plunger.
