9000 Series Ground Circuit

1991 Saab 9000 CD, 2.3 M, StandardSECTION 9000 Series Ground Circuit
  1. Locate ignition control unit under driver's seat. Turn ignition off. Connect negative lead of ohmmeter to ground. Using positive lead, check for continuity between ECU terminal No. 13 (Black wire) and ground. Resistance should be zero ohms. If not, repair open to ground.
  2. Connect negative lead of DVOM to a good ground. Backprobe ECU terminal No. 13 (Black wire). With vehicle running, DVOM should indicate less than one volt. If voltage is higher than one volt, check for open, corrosion, or loose connection on ground lead.
