- To install axle assembly, reverse removal procedure. When repositioning axle tube, do not place floor jack in center of axle tube. Use 2 floor jacks (one at each end).
- Do not tighten bushings until vehicle weight is on suspension to ensure bushings are aligned correctly. Panhard rod-to-body retaining bolt must be installed with nut facing forward. Bleed brake system.
To install axle assembly, reverse removal procedure. Position all components and leave bolts loose. Using 2 floor jacks (one at each end), lift rear axle into position. Tighten bolts.
