- Disconnect seat belt tensioner connector. Connect Resistor (8471153) to connector. Disconnect 12-pin ECU connector.
- Turn engine on. Turn on electrical loads, one at a time. Measure resistance between 12-pin ECU connector terminal No. 9 (Blue wire) and voltage, and between terminal No. 5 (Brown wire) and voltage.
- If either resistance measurement is 470 ohms or less, fault is located in wiring between 12-pin ECU connector and seat belt tensioner. If both resistance measurements are more than 470 ohms, fault is located in wiring between 12-pin ECU connector and ECU. Replace ECU as necessary.
