- Warm engine to normal operating temperature. Connect tachometer to engine. Slowly increase engine speed. Note engine RPM at which valve begins to open.
- Opening RPM should be as specified in EGR VALVE SPECIFICATIONS table. Check EGR valve and EGR thermostatic valve if RPM and valve opening is not within specification.
