LH Control Module
Removal

1 Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
Important: Wait at least 40 seconds before unplugging the control module connector. If this is not done, the control module could be damaged since it takes 32 seconds for the main relay to cut off its power supply.
2 Remove the cover panel over the false bulkhead space on the left-hand side.
3 Unplug the ABS control module.
4 Undo the LH control module's retaining bolts or release its clip.
5 Release the connector's toggle clip and remove the control module.
Fitting
Fit in reverse order.
Drive the car on test for adaptation of the new control module.
Important
The LH control module used in systems with a mass air flow sensor of plastic must never be replaced by a control module designed for systems with a mass air flow sensor of aluminium. If this is done, the mass air flow sensor will be ruined.
Mass air flow sensors of aluminium are fitted to all model year 1985-1987 car versions and to model year 1988 turbo cars.
