Removal Procedure

2009 Pontiac Vibe GT, AutomaticSECTION Removal Procedure
    NOTE: When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.
  1. Disconnect cable from battery negative terminal.
  2. Remove No. 1 engine cover sub-assembly.
  3. Remove air cleaner cap sub-assembly with hose.
  4. Remove air cleaner case.

  6. Remove ECM.
  7. Separate the wire harness clamp.

  9. Disconnect the 2 ECM connectors.
  10. NOTE: After disconnecting the connectors, make sure that dirt, water or other foreign matter does not contact the connecting parts of the connectors.
  11. Push the locks on the 2 levers, then raise the levers, and disconnect the 2 ECM connectors.

  13. Remove the 3 bolts and the ECM.

  15. Remove the 4 screws and 2 ECM brackets.
