Installation Procedure

2009 Pontiac G8 BaseSECTION Installation Procedure
  1. Install the front exhaust foil heat shield (1).

  2. CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
  3. Install the front exhaust foil heat shield to body retaining bolts (2) and tighten to 4 N.m (35 lb in).
  4. Install the catalytic converter. Refer to Catalytic Converter Replacement - Left Side (V8)  or Catalytic Converter Replacement - Left Side (V6)  and Catalytic Converter Replacement - Right Side (V8)  or Catalytic Converter Replacement - Right Side (V6) .
  5. Lower the vehicle to the ground.
